Song 61

Here's one with all sorts of lyrics; and I also tuned my instruments and made a concerted effort to try to sing a little better.  The last bit sounds pretty nice I think.

I've got a can of worms
And some fishing lures
A guide to taxidermy, volume II
A tying knots kit
A blinding toxic
Box of noxious nauseas fumes
Books on origami
Edamame
Senseis, swamis, holy texts
Old love letters
Older sweaters
Oddly, there's no rhyming dictionary
But there's arrowheads
And Pharaoh heads
And sketches done to learn to sketch
Plans for architecture
And some notes to lecture
On the great adventure I ain't had yet
But now my lease is up, I must move on
And I don't have room for all of these,
And you'll take, I posit, my security deposit
For my closet full of broken dreams.

Got my camping mallet,
 artist's pallet,
Leaks and shallots, onions too
Got some chicken stock and a great big pot
To make some longforgotten stew
There's a dissertation
Of my own creation,
That but for patience might exist,
And there's skeleton stories,
Some scant, some gory,
If you read them I'd sure you would be unimpressed
I've got  bessames and sesames
And other verbal remedies
And lots of other recipes for trying to get by
And books on tape, And books on grapes
Books on monkeys, books on apes,
Books on taking yeast and grapes and turning them to wine
But now my lease is up, I must move on
And I don't have room for all of these,
And you'll take, I posit, my security deposit
For my closet full of broken dreams.

Landlord, I need to talk with you about our walkthrough
In the park; I'm in the dark
I've paid all my utilities, but I recognize futility
Let's utilize civility; it's really not that hard
But when you tell me that it's all okay, you'll gladly throw my things away,
I'll change my tune, and importune
That give me just a few more days, I'll buckle down and clean this place,
I can't let my dreams go to waste, cause I might need them soon.

Almost back to back

With that last song.  Here's a nice little lullaby & picture of a squirrel.

This one was lazy

This would have been a good song for at least a little offbeat mandolining.  But no, I opted to go the "record whatever lyrics I mostly make up" on my iphone route.  It's not a bad route, but it has zero mandolin in a song that perhaps should have a little on the offbeats.

Youtube is fine with this.

Snowsong

I like the chord progression much more than anything else in this song.  The last couple songs were much better than this.  Songs about cars &./or people honking at you.  If anyone has any better ideas of things to sing about, please--please let me know.

Also, what a great picture of my nose & eyes, right?
